Financial & Operating Highlights
2003 - 2007

The following is TransGas financial and operating highlights from SaskEnergy’s Annual Reports for the years 2003-2007. For a closer review of the most recently released financial information please see the Annual Report section of the TransGas Website.

TransGas Limited (TransGas) is a natural gas transmission and storage service provider with nearly 14,000 kilometres of high-pressure pipelines that constitutes a transmission and gathering network in the Province of Saskatchewan, with interconnects to other pipeline facilities that serve Alberta, Manitoba, and the United States. TransGas receives natural gas from the natural gas producing areas of Saskatchewan and delivers gas to customers within Saskatchewan, including the Local Distribution Company, and for export out of the Province.

The volumes of natural gas receipts onto the transmission system and deliveries from the transmission system are affected by:
  • Volume of natural gas production;
  • Discovery of new reserves;
  • Development of existing reserves through natural gas well drilling programs;
  • Economics of natural gas production in Saskatchewan versus other jurisdictions;
  • Consumption level by end-use customers.
