Monthly Allocation Process going to the WEB

On December 01, 2005 TransGas will be moving some significant business system software into service. What was previously referred to as our Schedule ‘A’ process will be available via a NEW Web application called “Monthly Allocations”. It will be found on our web site under “Customer Activities”.

The Monthly Allocation Application will enable our Common Stream Operators (CSOs) to view and submit monthly allocations at their receipt points electronically. It will have several features added to provide automation which will streamline processes and provide better access to information such as:

  • CSOs will receive an e:mail notification when the measurement at a receipt meter is ready for reallocation. These notices will still be issued on or near the seventh day of each month.
  • Monthly Allocations pages will be instantly updated with submitted reallocations.
  • Additional history of monthly allocations will be provided on a go forward basis, as well as providing a detailed listing of changes at a meter.
  • A warning will pop up to indicate when a monthly allocation of less than 80% of the daily allocations has been submitted. This will act as a reminder to the customer to review the Pre-determined Allocation (PDA) methodology for the coming month.
  • The application will have both full access to reallocate the CSOs meters and also, a read only access feature.

To get ready for the roll-out of this new application, we ask all Common Stream Operators to fill out the necessary ebusiness access form for the individual and their alternate that will be handling the monthly allocations. Others that may wish to have read only access, should fill out the form indicating this desire as well. Note, that all forms must be signed off by an authorized representative of your company. An Access ID and Password will be issued to those that do not already use our ebusiness applications.

It is our goal to eliminate the faxing of Schedule ‘A’s, effective December 01, 2005.

Copies of the application Help Manuals will be issued at a later date. These manuals will also be available on-line after the implementation of the application.
