Fuel Gas and Losses Assessment Changes
Effective November 01, 2006
 

TransGas wishes to announce that the Transportation Unaccounted For and Fuel Gas Assessment, in aggregate, will increase from 0.5 percent to 1.05 percent effective November 1, 2006. This change reflects an increase in the Unaccounted For Gas (UFG) Assessment from 0.20 percent to 0.50 percent and an increase in the Fuel Gas Assessment to 0.55 percent from the current level of 0.40 percent. Together the changes result in the aggregate assessment of 1.05 percent.

Although this change reflects a significant impact to the overall cost of receipt transportation on the TransGas system, this UFG and Fuel Gas rate is still within the levels of most other transmission pipelines in Western Canada. TransGas is committed to keeping our Fuel and UFG rates as competitive as possible.
