Brine Disposal

A suitable disposal formation called the Deadwood formation exists at Landis. This formation is at a depth of approximately 1,920 meters. The Deadwood formation is a very porous formation that already contains brine and readily accepts brine from the cavern mining process. Other industries in the Saskatoon and Landis area also use this same formation for brine disposal.
