The Integrity Management Program will provide an optimized approach to system
maintenance over the next ten years. Over 3,000 km of baseline inspections and
over 1,000 km of re-inspections using the in-line inspection tools (electronic
pigs) will be completed by 2012. Inspection and investigation programs will
focus on finding metal loss, cracks and dents that may exist in the system.
TransGas will continue to conduct detailed risk assessments of individual
pipelines and facilities to determine priorities for further investigations,
in-line inspections and maintenance. On going support of research and
development of emerging integrity assessment methodologies and risk management
methods enable TransGas to make good use of current technology and industry best
practices.
