Cabinet recently approved an amendment to the previously announced overall average Transportation and Storage rate increase for 2026, reducing it from 6.1% to 1.9%, effective April 1.
Over the past 10 years, TransGas rate increases have averaged 2.8% and we are committed to minimizing rate changes wherever possible.
TransGas is also introducing the Income Balance Adjustment (IBA), effective April 1. The IBA is an annual rate rider designed to credit or charge customers when TransGas earnings differ from approved forecasts.
Beginning April 1, TransGas will credit nearly $6 million to customers due to a positive income variance, which will be reflected on monthly bills.
TransGas is committed to providing safe and reliable service as we continue to invest in the expansion of our system to meet increasing demand across Saskatchewan.
