TransGas Limited (TransGas) has completed the governance process and is changing its rates for transportation and storage services, effective April 1, 2022. Customers will see a rate increase ranging from 8.8% to 9%, with an average increase of 8.9% across all rate classes.

Over the past five years, TransGas expanded its system to meet increased customer demand in Saskatchewan, and to increase capacity to import natural gas from Alberta. Several large capital projects, such as Rosetown-Vanscoy and Saskatoon South, were completed with TransGas investing over $300 million. Rate impacts were mitigated while TransGas continued to safely and reliably meet customer expectations. Factoring in the upcoming rate increase of 8.9%, which is effective April 1, 2022, annual rate increases average 3.8% since 2017.

Looking ahead, TransGas will continue to provide safe and reliable service while minimizing rate impacts for customers.
