As per the Tariff, TransGas is issuing an Operational Flow Order (OFO) effective 1:30 P.M. Central Clock Time (Saskatchewan) today, February 11, 2021.

As a result of the OFO, all Shippers currently in a negative inventory balance must take immediate action to bring their Shipper Imbalance Account back into balance within a specified Shipper’s Tolerance Percentage, which is currently set at 0% to +20% of their contracted balance. Accounts currently below their allowable tolerance are creating a low line pack on the TransGas system.

TransGas advises Shippers that the compliance deadline to clear any negative balance is set at 11:00 A.M. Central Clock Time (Saskatchewan) on Friday, February 12, 2021 in order to provide Shippers with more than the required 20-hour notice. The OFO will remain in place until 9:00 A.M. Central Clock Time (Saskatchewan) on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.

These negative customer imbalances have led to the need for the issuance of the OFO. Shipper tolerances out of approved ranges increase the risk to overall system operation, and escalation into emergency response activity will be required if account balances are not within tolerance.

TransGas appreciates your immediate attention and response regarding this matter. We understand the challenges that extended cold weather puts on supply conditions, but require adherence to tolerances to sustain safe and reliable system operation for all customers at this time.
