TransGas Limited (TransGas) has completed the governance process and is changing its rates for transportation and storage services, effective April 1, 2022. Customers will see a rate increase ranging from 8.8% to 9%, with an average increase of 8.9% across all rate classes. Over the past five years, TransGas expanded its system to meet increased customer demand in Saskatchewan, and to increase capacity to import natural gas from Alberta. TransGas received notice from NGTL indicating that the firm restriction at Cold Lake and Unity is expected to end effective March 28, 2026. TransGas is providing an update regarding the curtailment of firm contracted NIT to TEP (NTT) and Empress to TEP (ETT) Services. TransGas is providing an update on transportation and storage service rates for the 2023-24 fiscal year. The Government of Saskatchewan has decided not to implement the proposed 2.0% increase at this time. As such, current transportation and storage rates across all rate classes will remain unchanged. TransGas will continue to facilitate discussion about transportation and storage service rates as necessary at Customer Dialogue meetings and provide regular updates to all customers. TransGas Limited (TransGas) is proposing changes to its rates for transportation and storage services, effective April 1, 2023. If approved, customers will see an average increase of 2% across all rate classes for the 2023-2024 fiscal year. Rate class adjustments will range from a decrease of 1% to an increase of 9% as discussed through Customer Dialogue. The proposed changes are proceeding through the government approval process and are expected to be finalized in March 2023.
